No Privacy

Society should have no privacy. Back in my day they did not and that went very well. If society wants us to loosen our locks then maybe they should be more trustworthy. Thousands of people commit thoughtcrime therefore people can not be trusted to have privacy. When people have privacy they rebel and try to turn others against the authority. Back in my day we caught two thoughtcrminals who had been having relations and were planning on overthrowing the party. This is what happens when you give the public privacy, they try to overthrow you.  We also caught people because of their own kids! With privacy the public would run wild, so I choose to keep them locked up. When the public shows that they are 100% faithful to Big Brother then we can make them think they are not being watched. That way we can still watch them and catch thoughtcriminals before they act. The inner party shall be the only ones with privacy because they have shown they are faithful, so they can turn off their telescreen. When I ran Oceania there were many who commited crimes that would be worst if there were privacy. THE PUBLIC DESERVES NO PRIVACY. Imagine if there were no telescreens, the world would be in chaos and the party would be losing control. You are all under our control and if you want to live a happy life I suggest you go with the flow.

  1. I completelty agree. We let them know there being watched as a warning and they still go against the grain. In today's society they have the advantage of knowing they're being watched as well as visual proof. Yet crime and wrongdoing still occurs? It's in the peoples ( police, high class, middle class, lower, and etc.) hands to prove to the government they are to and CAN be trusted. Actions very much so , speak louder than words. Back in '84 they thought when you were telling them you were watching was bad , HA! The government tried to ease up , show a little hope as to trusting the people and well, now there's surveillance almost everywhere. So why should the people's privacy be a factor? The people should most definitely consider their safety in wanting to reduce being observed. I mean as you said , people might as well " go with the flow". In which the flow being(meaning) the laws and rules and regulations of the today, the 21st century. What is the harm or wrong in doing what's right? Is it so hard to be truthful? Trustworthy? Able and eligible to be LISTENED TO when making decisions regarding the future of the world we have to live in for the rest of our life? Big Brother you are right in which the people need to think......... should privacy really be permitted to the people ?
