My response to modern privacy and government control issues

While browsing the interweb recently I, Big Brother ran across some news articles that interested me and caught my attention. They reminded me of what I used to stand for and how I liked Oceania to be ran. While I was the leader of Oceania I had thousands of tricks up my sleeve to make sure I remained the leader and keeper of power. Recently I have seen similar things that made me happy, and some that disappointed me. People nowadays have too much freedom! I would never run Oceania like this. I was however excited to see news reports and articles crying of the locks and control the government has on modern people. Back in 1984 my minions watched 2 thoughtcriminals and their many meetings. They had no clue we were watching them, just like you don’t know your government is watching you.

 When I ran Oceania I used telescreens to watch over my people. For Example, I used the telescreens to catch two lovebird thoughtcriminals who were against everything I stood for. Now I see these tiny telescreens everywhere. You fools! Although I am for the government being in total control, you are opening yourself to being watched and controlled over a tiny device, unknowingly. Though you think you aren’t living in a totalitarian government you are unknowingly opening yourself to the conditions of a totalitarian government through your telescreens you constantly are on. Your government even has cameras on the street watching your every move. Just like Mr. Charrington helped me catch criminals by making them believe they aren’t being watched, you are forever being monitored through those tiny screens you can’t keep your hands off of. You imbeciles are giving away all of your freedom because of these electronics you have. You don’t see the government with those, its because they aren’t being watched. Just like the inner parties telescreens could turn off and the outer parties couldn’t. Your Big Brother is watching you and if u dont do anything he will grow.

I favor a totalitarian government but since I know you don’t I’ll give you some advice, Put you telescreens up, enjoy life, and enjoy your family. Thats the only way you will truly be free. Or else you will be living by the motto of Oceania,

Propaganda's impact on Big Brother

  Big Brother does what Big Brother wants so the recent propaganda doesn't greatly impact my social or personal choices. My tactics are the reason why you do the things you do, say the things you say, and even think the things you think. The very people who catch you for your crimes are products of mine. I create these, they in no way impact me, they impact my simpleminded people. But there is no propaganda. Everything I tell you is the truth. There is no propaganda. Many people believe that what they hear from me and party members is false and that we are telling the public only what we want them to hear, but that is false. Thoughts like these are those that get you vaporized. Those spreading these false accusations will be dealt with. Us in the inner party spread only facts and every part of them. There is no propaganda. My ruling is only bettering the world by bringing truth and cleaning the world of bad people. I am in no way influenced by propaganda because there is none. Propaganda is information in a misleading form, which in now way what I am spreading. Me and the inner party tell only truth we have no interest in propaganda techniques. So remember we only speak truth and remain faithful to big brother.
  I mainly use the bandwagon technique to make you want to be in the inner party and card stacking to bring the power to me, and only me! I use these techniques to make you believe me and put all of your faith in to me, Big Brother. I, Big Brother aam the ultimate symbol of propaganda, propaganda doesn't effect me because I impact the choices made for propaganda. I am propaganda.
